Michael Flynn Is Too Weak To Be National Security Adviser

This makes me sick:

Incoming National Security Adviser and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn deleted a tweet that linked to a bogus news story tying Hillary Clinton to money laundering and sex crimes involving children, CNN's KFILE first reported Wednesday.

Flynn posted the tweet on Nov. 2, linking to a piece on the fake news website True Pundit that claimed an FBI investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-NY) computer had turned up evidence "to put Hillary (Clinton) and her crew away for life." "U decide - NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes w Children, etc...MUST READ!" read Flynn's tweet, which can still be viewed in the Internet Archive.

What a fucking coward! By deleting this tweet, Flynn demonstrates he is completely unwilling to stand behind his beliefs (or disbeliefs as the case may be).  Donald needs a National Security Adviser who not only promotes fake news, but is willing to do so when things get tough.  Flynn is definitely not that guy.

John Bolton Goes There

A False Flag?  Woo-Hoo!! (from Politico):

Former ambassador John Bolton claimed Sunday that hacks during the election season could have been “a false flag” operation — possibly committed by the Obama administration itself.

Anyone who is a fan of fake news has got to love John Bolton.  He understands that if an embarrassing story comes out about the Republican Party -- such as the Intelligence Community's conclusion that Putin hacked our election to help Trump win -- then you must immediately pull something out of your ass and blame someone else for it, preferably a person with a darker complexion or an organization run by such an individual.

And by the way, whatever you do, please DO NOT read this piece of propaganda by Steve Benen (no relationship to Steve Bannon, of course).  When it comes to this whole Russia hack story, Benen attempts to confuse us by citing facts in a very organized way.  Post-truth discretion advised.

Beware of Real News, People (Particularly If You Are Wealthy)

I nearly choked on my Taco Bowl when I read this -- it's an article about how Jim VandeHei, the co-founder of Politico, is planning on starting a website where people can go to get real news.  I certainly did not like the sound of that:

VandeHei wouldn’t share many specific details on Axios, citing a “hyper-competitive market,” but said, “Fundamentally, the problem that needs to be solved now — unlike a decade ago — is that there’s more good information than at any point in humanity, but it’s harder than ever to get to, even for really sophisticated readers…To me, the topic areas that cover all those people who care about serious news are: media trends, meaning how are people consuming and disseminating information; politics; business; and technology. All growth, all new ideas, are going to come from the collision of those ideas.”

I immediately thought to myself, "Christ, what would happen if something like this actually catches on -- a news site featuring real news?"  Well, as I continued to read the article, I started getting less nervous.  Then I read this part and all was well again:

VandeHei’s ultimate goal is for half of Axios’s revenue to come from advertising and half to come from subscriptions — very expensive ones. “I’d be very surprised if I got super-intrigued with a subscription that was less than $10,000.”

A $10,000 per year subscription fee?  Nobody will pay that! Thank God.

A True Patriot Has Fallen

I was saddened to see one of my heroes fall this week:

Vice President-elect Mike Pence said Tuesday that Michael G. Flynn, the son of President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming national security adviser who has defended the “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory on Twitter, is not involved with Trump’s transition team. But later in the morning, Trump’s transition team confirmed that the younger Flynn had in fact previously been involved in the transition.

That's a very roundabout way to say that Flynn got himself fired by Donald Trump. 

I love Mike Junior. His dad, incoming Trump National Security Adviser (and retired general) Michael Flynn, loves to tweet out fake news as well, but Junior has taken it to a whole new level. He'll retweet pretty much anything, and he'll never back down. 

Hell, after that Trump supporter shot up a pizzeria the other day because he believed that Hillary was running a child sex ring out of its basement, Mike Jr. tweeted: "Until #Pizzagate proven to be false, it'll remain a story." In other words, Flynn thinks that the owner of the pizzeria (and Hillary too I guess) must prove that a child sex ring is not being operated out of the basement, even though the pizza place in question has no basement.

I've never seen a man so committed to the untruth.  Donald should promote people like Mike Jr., not fire them.  On the bright side, I suspect that young Michael is still involved secretly with the Trump transition.  After all, good people are hard to find these days.

Beware of Fake News, People

Don't get me wrong -- as a full-fledged, red-capped Trump supporter, I love fake news because it helped Donald get elected.  But it saddens me when our own people take it too far.

In our quest to destroy the facts, we Trumpites must never get too caught up in fake news ourselves because if we over-react to it, we'll call too much attention to the fact that the news really is fake (plus, we end up looking too idiotic). 

One of us actually did this over the weekend

There was a very scary scene in Washington, D.C., yesterday, when a North Carolina man, armed with an assault rifle, walked into a popular pizza place and pulled the trigger. Incredibly, no one was killed, but what makes this story especially notable is the gunman's motivation.

The Washington Post reported that the man told police officers he had come to the restaurant, Comet Ping Pong, in order to "'self-investigate' a false election-related conspiracy theory involving Hillary Clinton that spread online during her presidential campaign."

You see, this fine patriotic man actually believed that Hillary Clinton and her campaign chief were operating a child sex ring from a pizzeria; and by running in there half-cocked, he has helped to debunk this story.

Here is another good example. A lot of Trump Supporters got all excited after seeing this Federal N***er Hunting License:

Well, I called my nearest sporting goods store to get pricing on this, and the lady who answered got very upset.  She was yelling a lot and was hard to understand, so I assumed she was angry because they couldn't keep them in stock.  But then I talked to a friend who knows someone on the Trump Transition Team, and he says that these licenses don't exist -- at least not yet. 

So stay tuned on that one, but for God's Sake, if I can fall into this trap, then anyone can.  So be careful out there and follow this simple rule: Believe everything you read (unless it's anti-Trump, of course), but at the same time, don't believe everything you read.
